We are a small family homestead located in rural Blanchardville, Wisconsin, about 40 minutes southwest of the capital city of Madison. The farm is nestled in a cozy valley, bordered by creeks on two sides, an old oak woods on another and neighboring farms on the rest. We share this land with our sheep, goats, chickens, horses, beef cows, pigs, dogs, cats, ducks, turkeys and a crazy goose with whom we live in a circle of nurture. Everything on the homestead has a purpose and function that feeds the land and lives around it. We care for the animals, they feed the soil, the soil feeds us and we feed you. We are certified organic growers and a Field-to-Table Bed and Breakfast Farm, providing produce and pastured meats at our local farmers markets and for our own scrumptious breakfasts. Come for a restorative day-long retreat or settle in for a longer stay to sleep, eat and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life with plants and animals both domestic and wild. Take classes here in gardening, woolcraft, healthy cooking and various messy arts and crafts. You've found the blogsite where we chronicle the stories, share the recipes and show the views we enjoy on the farm, but if you'd like to visit, get all of the information you need here.
